The trip, honestly, depends on your side of town
From the Hospitality Lane area and the south end near the 10, this is a genuinely quick trip. A few minutes east on the freeway to the Loma Linda exits and you are on Redlands Blvd.
From the middle of the city, around Waterman Avenue or the Inland Center, budget more like fifteen minutes. Waterman south to Redlands Blvd and then east is the surface option, and the 10 is the freeway option.
From the far north side, up toward Cal State San Bernardino and the foothills, it is a real drive, closer to twenty minutes. We are not going to describe that as around the corner, because it is not. It is worth knowing before you leave rather than after.
Why the late close matters here more than anywhere
San Bernardino has the student population, the stadium, the shopping and the sheer number of people that generate evening plans, and it has a well-earned reputation for those plans running out of options early.
We are open until 9 PM seven nights a week. Not weekends only, not until 8 on a Sunday. That consistency is the entire argument for making the drive from San Bernardino: you do not have to check first, and you do not have to arrive at 8:15 and find a locked door.
For Cal State students that is the difference between this being a viable end-of-night stop and being a place you keep meaning to try. Order ahead online and the drive down is the only part that takes any time.
Come for the boba
Boba is the item we would lead with for San Bernardino, because it is the one that justifies a drive on its own and it is the one you can still be enjoying on the way back.
The base is tea, and what makes it boba is the tapioca pearls at the bottom, pulled up through a wide straw. A properly cooked pearl is springy the whole way through rather than mushy in the middle, and that chew is the same family of texture you get in a mochi donut.
Milk teas are creamy and closer to dessert. Fruit teas are lighter and sharper. Chad Smothers, a Local Guide with 174 reviews, led his review with the drinks: "Boba drinks are delicious and the dogs are different."
One practical note for a drive this length: pearls are at their best in the first hour and firm up as they sit. Yours will still be good when you get back to San Bernardino. It will be better if you drink it here.
What to add to it
Mochi donuts are the natural companion and the item that survives the drive best. Eight chewy rice-flour rings joined in a circle, pulled apart one at a time, which makes a single donut easy to share in a car.
Korean corn dogs turn the trip into a meal. Dirty sodas are the alternative drink if you want carbonation instead of cream. The strawberry jam lemonade is the caffeine-free option and travels better than boba does.
A mozzarella corn dog is the one item we would not order for a twenty minute drive. The cheese pull and the crunch are a first-five-minutes experience, and both are gone by the time you are back on the 215.
No invented San Bernardino proof
This page does not claim a San Bernardino customer base, a delivery radius, or a regular crowd from any particular part of the city, because nobody has given us that information and inventing it would be worthless to you.
What exists is three verified Google reviews, all five stars, printed in full on the reviews page. If you come down from San Bernardino, a review is what would let us write something real here.
